Product Overview

RIGOUR Single-Rope Pulley-Type Hammer Grab

The RIGOUR Single-Rope Pulley-Type Hammer Grab is a purpose-built grab designed for high-intensity drilling projects, whose excellent performance under a wide range of complex and severe working conditions has been repeatedly validated. The grab adopts an efficient rope-and-pulley arrangement that produces greater closing torque to ensure a secure and powerful grip. Its proprietary gravity-actuated sliding-block opening mechanism not only enables rapid discharge but also effectively removes material adhering to the bucket, improving operational continuity.

The grab body has been hydrodynamically optimized and features a streamlined profile that allows rapid sinking even during underwater operations, thereby enhancing construction efficiency. The lower portion of the grab is fitted with specially designed lateral expansion chambers that significantly increase loading capacity in loose strata such as soft soil and sand, further improving per-cycle productivity.

RIGOUR Double-Rope Spherical Grab and Pulley-Type Grab

Project drilling and construction progress depend not only on the primary machinery but also to a large extent on reliable auxiliary tools. For casing pile foundation works, a robust and durable drilling grab is essential. To address complex conditions such as rock strata, boulder-bearing soils and combined underwater loading, RIGOUR has developed a high-impact, heavy-duty excavation grab:

A distinguishing feature of the double-rope pulley grab is its use of oil-immersed bearings, which provide maintenance-free operation over the full service life and eliminate the need for a pawl support and release-crown assembly. Hoisting and lowering are controlled by the first rope (the driving rope), while the second rope (the closing rope) is dedicated to opening and closing the grab.

This arrangement allows operators to cycle the grab repeatedly during drilling— for example, to loosen compacted layers or to clear the grab in highly cohesive formations. For applications demanding extremely high closing force, the spherical grab is recommended. Owing to its substantial self-weight and the tooth-like structures added to the sphere shell, the spherical grab penetrates the formation during closure and applies very high splitting forces to loosened soils.
